This might give one the feeling that he or she doesn’t need to think anymore. But this is not quite true.
If you remember the 80s, people were just dying and were very much curious in regards to finding the solution of solving a rubix cube. In that time and age, when it comes to the solutions for the rubix cube, they were very few and if you wanted to discover new ones, then you needed to have a lot of time and patience on your hands & of course, the rubix cube. Although the Rubix cube’s back then weren’t as cool as the Rubix cube clock we have seen earlier.
The rubix cube had such an impact, that there were even books and magazines that were dedicated to it. You would often go outside and ask your friends if they know any solutions in regards to solving the rubix cube. Yes, those were the days. All in all, the efforts that you had to put in order to make sure that you would find a good solution for the rubix cube were just colossal. It could have taken you from a few hours to a few months in order to find just 1 single solution. Wow, that is quite a lot!
The world we live in today though, is completely different and you can find out the solutions quite fast. We have the internet and we also have algorithms and computers. Because of this, you will not have the same mood and the same amount of fun in regards to discovering the solution to solving the rubix cube. If you can get the answer in just a few seconds by looking for it on the internet, then where is the fun of using a rubix cube? Struggling for the solution was always the core of fun.
The computer versions of the rubix cube (PC games of course) are not even close to the real deal. If you want to be declared as a “winner”, you will just need to have a good agility and coordination. You will no longer need intellect to solve it, which is too bad. I am not saying directly that we have lost a lot from our ability to think, but this is really the effect that computers have caused, among many other benefits.
If you want to be in for the same amount of fun as in the old days, just buy a cube and you will see what I mean!
