The OnStar FMV (For My Vehicle) is a car gadget that provides several features such as GPS, automatic crash/accident reports and hands-free calling. The automatic crash response will alert emergency responders about the exact location of the vehicle even without the driver’s assistance. The turn-by-turn navigation will provide accurate directions for the nearest gas station, restaurant, hospital with only a push of the onboard “Blue Button”. What’s more, you can also make a hands-free phone call either by using the OnStar service or your mobile phone connected via Bluetooth. The OnStar FMV will be released in the Summer 2011 for $299 a pop. Installation is expected to take less than an hour and cost less than $100. A range of service plans will be available for OnStar FMV, starting at $18.95 a month or $199 a year. [Satellite Spotlight]
