Yamaha has rolled out the NPS2000 network player in Japan. The NPS2000 will play music files stored on your home computer network from a NAS drive, or home PC/ Mac via your network into your home HiFi system with the very highest level of sound quality. The Yamaha NPS2000 has no hard drive or CD drive, which eliminates all sources of electrical noise. The back panel of this network player also features extensive connectivity including balanced audio outputs on XLR connectors, making sure the Yamaha NPS2000 matches high end pre-amplifiers and integrated amplifiers. What’s more, the Yamaha NPS2000 is compatible with FLAC, WAV, MP3, WMA and AAC. The new Yamaha NPS2000 retails for 208,950 Yen or around $2,523. [HiFiGear]
